The action revolves around a number of odd existences, all of which live or work in the fictional Skatan neighborhood. The three musketeers are a theater performance / musical in two acts written by Alexander Mørk-Eidem, based on Alexandre Duma's novel The Three Musketeers. The performance was premiere at the Stockholm City Theater on February 27, 2009 and was played until December 2009. It then had a two-year break due to a rights dispute. Some of the music had to be replaced, including music by Prince, Madonna and Michael Jackson. The three musketeers had a new premiere in March 2012 and were played until September 2012. Sveriges Television (SVT) recorded the musical in autumn 2012 and showed on December 30, 2012.

In the middle of a broadcast about Typhoon Yolanda's initial impact, reporter Jiggy Manicad was faced with the reality that he no longer had communication with his station. They were, for all intents and purposes, stranded in Tacloban. With little option, and his crew started the six hour walk to Alto, where the closest broadcast antenna was to be found. Letting the world know what was happening to was a priority, but they were driven by the need to let their families and friends know they were all still alive. Along the way, they encountered residents and victims of the massive typhoon, and with each step it became increasingly clear just how devastating this storm was. This was a storm that was going to change lives.

This CGI hand was in turn produced by Max, who was born with no arms, and sought refuge in computer-imaging as a means to operate and manipulate a digital reality.

Moe tells Curly to wish for quintuplets, and Curly replies, "We'll honeymoon in Canada!" (a reference to the Dionne quintuplets).
