10.0Starship Troopers is the tale of young trooper Johnny Rico, played by Casper Van Dien, star of this and...well, some direct to video sequels of this, mostly. He’s joined in the war by Denise Richards, impossible to believe as a gifted starship pilot long before she was impossible to believe as a gifted nuclear scientist in that Bond movie. He’s also joined by the great Neil Patrick Harris, who is somehow much easier to believe as an intelligence officer with psychic abilities that help him communicate with the giant bug aliens. Throw in Michael Ironside, because duh, it’s a war movie, you’re gonna need Michael Ironside, and Jake Busey, because duh, he just showed up on set and wouldn’t leave, add a love triangle, heaps of alien splatter, and you’ve got the sprawling, great, goofy mess that is Starship Troopers! Join Mike, Kevin, and Bill for this gorilla-gram free version of the blockbuster live show!

4.0A recording of the final performance of the famous production of G. Feydeau's comedy, directed by Jiří Menzel, which was successfully performed by the Vinohrady Theater for twenty years. The fame of Feydeau's A Flea in Her Ear was established at the Vinohrady Theatre in the 1960s by director Václav Hudeček with his production starring Vlastimil Brodský in the dual lead role. The studio version is now considered a television classic. In the second half of the 1990s, the theater's dramaturgy returned to this comedy bestseller and entrusted the direction to film and theater director Jiří Menzel. Another strong generation of actors was given the opportunity. The successful premiere took place on November 15, 1996, and the production ran for twenty long years. The recording is from April 6, 2016, when the performance was staged for the 363rd and last time. The director and all those who had appeared in the comedy over the long period were in attendance.
A Gogolian grotesque with elements of Italian neorealism underscored by Janáček's four-part harmonies. The Divadlo v Dlouhé theater consciously renounced folkloric color and psychological insight into the souls of individual characters and focused primarily on a comedic view of everyday Czech life, in which vanity and personal interests often play a key role. Director Jan Borna based his production on Miroslav Macháček's famous adaptation, which, however, underwent minor changes in the staging by the actors of the Divadlo v Dlouhé theater.

6.5"All-Stars" is a hilarious commentary on the state of all youth sports today, fueled by the outrageous behavior of the desperate sports parent living vicariously through his or her child. In the vein of "Best in Show", where it's more about the dog owners than the dogs - "All-Stars" is about the adults involved in youth sports (parents, coaches, umpires, volunteers, board members, etc.) more than the kids. The end result is a funny, yet compelling spin on fast pitch softball as well as a unique state of affairs on the outlandish antics of a few crazed parents.
