The door to the right stands open. Finally, Tom and his partner Marcel have moved into their first apartment together. They could be happy at last. But at night, Tom hears strange noises from next door - and discovers there is a connecting door to the neighboring apartment. The key is missing. All attempts to lock the door fail. While Tom's fear of what lurks behind it grows, Marcel worries about their happiness and tries everything to talk down the situation. Even when they realize their neighbor is Adolf Hitler.
