
Helju Tauk (1930 - 2005) was a versatile and bright personality, pianist, pedagogue, musicologist, music promoter and one of the founders of the Tallinn Music High School. She was also a dissident and she shared knowledge with her students not only about music, but also about culture and life in general. She experienced the repressions of the KGB, she was banned from teaching and performing, but she bravely continued her activities.
