The famous courtesan (played by Xue Zhilun) admires the actor (played by Tony Leung Ka-fai) and visits him every day to support him and bring him soup. One night, the actor noticed her, and they fell deeply in love. However, the actor was heartless, and over time, he grew tired of her. In a fit of rage, the courtesan hanged herself.
