When father Bartels' construction company suddenly goes bankrupt, the whole family will have to drastically change their lifestyle. The story takes a very strange twist, but is this due to financial problems or are there other things to make sure the family gets in trouble? A priest who helps the family keeping their faith helps wherever he can, but someone has to help him to save what can be saved, otherwise....?
