The Beastie Boys' Final Performance before Yauch was diagnosed with early-stage parotid cancer and all tours, festivals, music video production, and album releases were halted. Yauch halted these thinking that he would eventually be cured of this disease and be able to resume production, but on May 4th 2012, Yauch passed away.
