Through celebrations, protests, everyday gestures, and images from the past, the film traces Gijón's transformation: from an industrial city to a tourist destination, from a battleground to a stage for spectacle. Faced with this transformation, the filmmaker returns to the plaza of his childhood and questions collective memory: who constructs it? What is forgotten? What remains outside the frame?
