The story begins in 1970 in the Kodai hills, Madurai. A total of eight employers are managing eight tea estates. An 18-year-old girl named Azhagu, who lives in a tea plantation village called Edakadu, sets up a small hut in her village to give lessons to children.One day a teacher named Selvam comes to teach children but ends up misbehaving with Azhagu. What follows next is a series of unfortunate incidents that lead to the death of Selvam. Will the police be able to find the killer?
