Despite all the efforts of her best friend Birgit, the attractive woman has been avoiding every male acquaintance since her fiancé died in an accident five years ago. When she visits the grave of her great love in the run-up to Christmas, Laura meets a mysterious old man who makes her a strange prophecy: all her wishes could come true if she writes a wish list to Santa Claus.
