Newly married journalist Xia Yin moved into her husband's apartment. However, her not-so-sweet newlywed life, as well as the suicide of a colleague and the failure of her investigation to be published publicly ...... the dual frustrations of family and work, prompted Xia Yin to go to the countryside on the grounds of an interview assignment. In the countryside, Xia Yin met a little girl, Xiaoshu, who lived with her grandmother. Xiaoshu's spiritual and unconscious hypnosis allowed Xia Yin to glimpse the black hole deep inside herself, and this strange encounter in the countryside made her re-examine her situation.
