Brown and Smith are friends, but their wives have never met. Brown flirts with Mrs. Smith, and in revenge, Mrs. Brown flirts with Mr. Smith. Many amusing scenes are shown, coming to a climax when both couples go to a summer garden. The two men meet and tell each other what fine girls each are out with. Finally the four are brought together and the wives soothe the angry husbands and convince them that it does not pay to flirt.

When Carter fails to appear on time at a dinner which was planned to announce his engagement to Marybelle, and finally arrives intoxicated, her parents in anger force her to break the engagement and forbid Carter the house. Marybelle's rejection of Carter hits him hard.

The position of sales manager is bestowed upon a drunken employee as a bribe after he catches J.B. about to visit "Daisy La Rue, Exterminator." Considered a lost film.

What she does not know, however, is that this young man has been fleeced by her father and has sworn vengeance against him.

Jimmy becomes involved in the chaos, battling the scoundrel and the café proprietor's men to protect the girl. In a climactic twist, the girl turns out to be the estranged sister of the villainous proprietor. The film ends with a happy reunion, the villainous proprietor turning good, and Jimmy thanked for his heroism.

Groucho played an "old movie" villain, who "sported a long moustache and was clad in black", while Chico was probably his "chuckling [Italian] henchman". Zeppo portrayed a playboy who was the owner of a nightclub in which most of the action took place, including "a cabaret, [which allowed] the inclusion of a dance number". The final shot showed Groucho "in ball and chain, trudging slowly off into the gloaming". Harpo, in a rare moment of romantic glory, gets the girl in the end. This film is lost.
