After graduating from graduate school, Meng Hai failed in his entrepreneurial venture and returned to Happy Village in despair, keeping his failure a secret. His close friend Li Xiaohui strongly urged Meng Hai to stay, and the three of them teamed up to establish a coffee farm, which was strongly opposed by Meng Hai's father.
