Plan B: True(en)
In 1991 a skateboard company was created with the most revered team roster in the history of skateboarding, it was named Plan B. A year later the first video "Questionable" debuted and it caused a shockwave through skateboarding still felt to this day. The 2nd Plan B video "Virtual Reality" came out a year later with the same legendary dominance. The visionary and owner of Plan B, Mike Ternasky died in an auto accident in 1994 and left his legacy with two of the founders of Plan B, legendary skateboarders Danny Way and Colin McKay. Plan B skateboards is proud to introduce our 5th full length video, "TRUE" featuring Ryan Sheckler, Chris Joslin, Felipe Gustavo, Scott Decenzo, Trevor McClung, Pat Duffy, Torey Pudwill, and others. Ski-Flying(en)
Hans Thirring, a theoretical physicist at the University of Vienna, is skiing down a mountain slope wearing cape-like attire. The cape, designed by Thirring and called the Thirring mantel, is made of parachute silk and acts somewhat like a parachute to provide its wearer reduced speed while shushing down the slopes. But it also provides lift so that the skier is lighter on his skis, almost weightless. This "flight" somewhat mimics the experience felt by those participating in the relatively new sport of ski-flying (also known as ski jumping), which must have exacting conditions (i.e. little wind, hard packed snow) to ensure safety. Even in ideal conditions, ski-flying is a dangerous sport, especially if the landing is not executed properly.

John Barnes: Poetry in Motion(en)
'Barnes: Poetry in Motion' tells the story of one of football's most iconic figures, John Barnes, starting from his arrival in England from Jamaica and then being recommended to Elton John's Watford by a cab driver who had seen him play for non-league Sudbury Court. It was while at Watford that Barnes launched his international career and would go on to be capped 79 times for a country that he was not initially eligible to represent. At Liverpool, John would establish himself as one the greatest player in the club's history, winning the league championship and the Football Writers' Player of Year award in two of his first three seasons at the club. Off the field John found a home in Liverpool, forming an ever-stronger bond with the city in the aftermath of the Hillsborough.
